Abstract

The article is devoted to the peculiarities of verbalization of the emotional and estimating potential of spatial lexemes in the process of researching Alexander Dovzhenko`s artistic speech. The main approaches of investigating the common language are considered. Three key ways of analysis of spatial lexemes are destinguished: genetic-historical, normative and stylistic. The emphasis is focused on the criteria for the allocation of spatial vocabulary among other language phenomena. The main content of the study is an indepth analysis of the functional-stylistic features of extra-normative linguistic phenomena of Oleksandr Dovzhenko`s idiolect. Among non-normative speech phenomena, we distinguish phonetic modifications of the words, spooky words with a negative emotional estimation, vernacular phraseological units, expressive verbs, spatial nicknames and surzhik. The sphere of functioning of the studied vocabulary is monologue and dialogical speech of characters.
