Abstract

The article deals with the history of the foundation and development of the Nizhyn Museum of Local Lore. IG Spassky The process of forming an archaeological collection is highlighted. The sequence of accumulation of archaeological materials is shown due to the activities of archeological expeditions, the findings of which were transferred to the museum’s funds. The exposition with archaeological materials of the Kievan Rus era is described and analyzed.
